These codes don't seem to be the usual DME/CAS or DME/EWS out-of-sync codes. They may point to a hardware or wiring issue. It only lists the valvetronic relay with the N52 engine and shows it located in the E-Box along with the ECM, windshield wiper relay, and DME main relay. Unfortunately, there's no mention of a Valvetronic relay associated with your engine but the E-Box for the V8 engine does contains a Valvetronics Control ^^ There is no mechanical relay, I think thats what Ard was trying to tell you. It has to be the EKP module. The EWS II Control Module is linked to the BC, GM, DME, Trans Range switch and the starter for drive away protection operation. The module incorporates an integral starter relay and stores data and codes for communication with the transponder chip. Lock out of the starter when the code function of the BC is set. OK. there is 2 temperature switches in the thermostat disconnect 1 and bridge the connector if it shuts off the fan replace the switch do the same with the other one. the relay's are in the engine compartment on the drivers side this are the first 3 black ones in the slim part of the box. Posted on Dec 24, 2008. Install HPFP (BMW OEM, btw), new fuel sensor, replace rings on intake manifold and throttle body, clean up throttle body, put everything back together. Strong crank but no start. Read codes, a bunch of new ones and a bunch of previous ones gone. All 6 cylinders misfiring was the bulk of the problem. Bs7gu.
