🌨️ Nikon 24 70 F2 8 Z
I have Tamron 24-70 f2.8 and it works quite good on the FTZ. My absolute favorite on the Nikon Z is the 14-30 f4.0 It is really lightweight and perfect for daylight everyday except portrait. But this is always reserved for Prime lenses 😉
The 70-200mm f/2.8 S continues to put up excellent sharpness numbers that are only slightly lower than before, while the 24-200mm looks pretty uninspiring even compared to its own performance at earlier focal lengths. It’s still within the bounds of acceptable, but the 70-200mm is within the bounds of excellent.

Elevated by a new Multi-Focus System, next generation lens flare correction and advanced S-Line features and functionality, the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is a must-have lens that marks the sweet spot of performance, precision and optical superiority.
I share a ton of photos and compare this new lens to two other versions of the 24-70mm that I own! Find the lens here:
The Nikon Z 17-28mm f/2.8 retails for a price of $1,199.95. For comparison, the Nikon Z 14-24mm f/2.8 sells for $2,499.95. The 17-28mm is slightly less than half of the price for close to the same
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S zoom lens takes 72mm screw-in filters. With a maximum aperture of ƒ/4, it’s not the fastest lens around. Nikon’s staple 24-70mm lenses for DSLRs, for instance, open up to ƒ/2.8. But the Z7 and Z6’s low-light performances go some way to compensating for that.

The Nikon Z 28-75 mm F2.8 is slightly (65 grams) heavier than the 24-70 mm F4 S. It is also more than three centimeters longer, but slightly slimmer than the 24-70 mm F4 S. The filter size of the Nikon Z 28-75 mm F2.8 is slightly smaller, 67mm instead of 72mm. The price is almost the same.

Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S vs Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8E VR. The top midrange zoom in Nikon’s lineup at the moment is the 24-70mm f/2.8E VR for the F-mount. It also happens to be one of the most balanced wide to standard range zooms we have tested at Photography Life, making it ideal to compare against the Z 24-70mm f/4.
Apr 18, 2020. #5. MNglass said: It is notable that Ricci found that the 50 S was the only prime that seemed to do better than the 24-70 2.8 S at apertures below around f4 or so. It speaks to how remarkably good the 24-70 2.8S is and how astonishingly good the 50 is. My impression is that once you get above f4 - f5.6 all these Z lenses shine.
